Sarah: I grew up in the market. My parents started a stall there when I was 5 and have been going ever since. I used to hide under the table and eat food, sneak coffee from my mama and play hopscotch on the stones. It’s like a second home.

Liadain: I’m a market blow-in.I started working in the market when I was in college after moving to Dublin from Kilkenny.

S: Li has a twin, who also worked the markets, and because they looked alike I could not tell them apart, so decided it best not to get to know them.

L:  Well, it’s a small square. So that didn’t last too long!

S: After a few summers working together at festivals, sustaining ourselves on greasy burgers, frozen chips and too many mistake made crepes, we got chatting and dreaming about setting up our own food stall, serving simple food from the producers we know and love.

L: … and here we are, serving simple food from the producers we know and love!
